Table Talk
Eating is about much more than nourishing the body; it’s also about routines, self-advocacy, social interaction, sensory experiences, self-regulation, cultural identity, and independence. That’s why our approach to feeding therapy also goes beyond nourishing the body.
Connected Therapy approaches feeding issues as we approach anything else: By first building safety and connection with your child. Then we assess the many skills involved in eating: oral-motor skills, coordination of breathing and swallowing, sensory patterns and preferences, core stability and positioning, the child’s regulatory capacity, and the feeding environment. We also connect with you. Together, we’ll support your child’s skills to not only nourish their body, but to enjoy a lifetime of healthy, happy eating.
